Where authenticity meets exploration;
When Nowhere becomes Now Here.
More than a mobile studio— it’s a state of mind.
Bus 9 to Nowhere is Joy’s traveling creative sanctuary, built to chase light, stories, and the art of becoming. Whether it’s parked in the desert, outside a motel, or beside your home studio, the bus is both a workspace and a vessel for discovery.
Traveling across the country in my short bus, Bus 9 to Nowhere, I document artists in their creative spaces, individuals with their personal histories and the culture that shapes them. My work is a reflection of impermanence, connection, and resilience, aiming to tell stories that inspire others to embrace both the fleeting and the profound.
I’m currently taking on editorial assignments, artist collaborations, and unconventional weddings that tell a bigger story. If you’re looking for someone to document life as it is—with a little art and soul—I’d love to connect.
Artist to Know — This ongoing photo series aims to showcase the diversity of the creative world and the unique personalities of those who inhabit it. Each portrait captures the subject in a space that speaks to their creativity and individuality. Whether it's a painter in their studio, a musician in their recording space, or a writer in their study, each photograph highlights the subject's connection to their environment.
An ongoing series that documents the narrative
of what it takes to be an observer and caretaker.
